Visa & Entry procedure
All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold passport and valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. Visa is also issued at the entry points. Visa can be extended at the Department of Immigration, Bhrikutimandap, and Kathmandu. Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee.

- Gratis visa for all tourists who visit Nepal for 3 days or less.
- Single entry- US$ 30 days for 60 days
- Multiple entry- US$ 50 + US$ 30.
- Visa will be extended subsequently for 30 days each upon payment of US$ 30 for a maximum period of 150 days in a visa year (Jan-Dec).
Best Time to Visit in Nepal
The best seasons to travel in Nepal are Autumn, from early October until early December and Spring, from the beginning of March until the end of April.
Summer season in Nepal , from June to September, is the monsoon. Trekking at this time will be generally difficult and uncomfortable and it rains almost every day.
Acess into Nepal
BY SURFACE:
Easy to enter Nepal overland from both India and Tibet.
From Tibet, you cross the border at Kodari and from there, the journey to Kathmandu takes 5- 6 hrs by Coach.
From India, there are several different border crossings. The most convenient border crossing is Sunauli/Belahiya. The only direct buses from Kakervitta and Raxual to Kathmandu. There are some more border crossings in west Nepal.
