Lhasa City Tour
DAY 01 Flight Lhasa (3650m.) from KATHMANDU (1400M) :
Transfer to airport to take flight it takes one and half hour to be at GONGGAR AIRPORT – Lhasa. See all the Himalayan range and provides us with magnificent mountain views form the window. After landing meet our Tibetan guide, it is a further 2 hour drive to Lhasa City.
DAY 02 – LHASA CITY:
In the morning – Visit several of Lhasa’s many monasteries with our guide. One of these is the best Sera Monastery in Tibet. Within its white-washed walls and golden roofs, several hundred monks live and study. After lunch visit the Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, as well as the Jokhang Temple. This temple is possibly the most sacred shrine in Tibet.
DAY 03 – LHASA CITY:
In the morning visit the Potala Palace which dominates the city of Lhasa. A spectacular building, it contains the private quarters of the Dalai Lama as well as numerous grand state rooms and many important chapels. There has been a palace on this site since the 5th or 6th century, but the present palace was constructed in the 17th century. In the fternoon visit to the Drepung Monastery this afternoon will complete a truly awe- inspiring day. Founded in the 14th century, this monastery was once the largest in the world with a population of around 10,000 monks.
DAY 04 – Lhasa City:
You can take aadditional tour on your own, to visit places such as the Tibetan Medical Centre and the Ganden and Tsurphu Monasteries. However, this the cost will be extra of this excursion is not included in this tour, our guide will help you upon your request.
Day 5: Fly Lhasa To Kathmandu
Early morning Transfer to Gonggar airport to flyout Kathmandu [95 km].
